The first mention of the "F" word. I tried several variations in panel 1 to convay Sassy's feelings, but nothing really worked, so I went with the dirty "F" word. It's a mature rated comic.

Sassy know's things and has no need to tell anyone else, that's why she's the boss. The diner got a minor face lift by adding taller walls. This will be a feature of Burgatory 5.0 which will be featured next year.

Not much to say today, but I really need to look into a basic photography class to improve my lighting skills, some panels are better.

The new laptops from LEGO™ are one of my favorite pieces. As far as I know they only come in the Agents sets. The search is on.

It's the Father vs Son moment of the comic. Solo takes control from his dominating daddy. It's about time. Some of the original plots from Friction Fit Theatre, Solo did whatever daddy wanted. He was kind of a wuss.

When making this comic, I had put away the contents in the boxes away and had to look at the past strips to see what was there. I also found I had more books. Not sure when I got them.

I never knew how hard it was to pick the perfect sword. I went through all of them and this one was chosen. If it was a gold plated version it would have been even better.

A little behind the scenes commentary. I work with layers, a lot of them sometimes. The 2nd panel has two. I copied and pasted the area I wanted to blur. A bit of erasing and motion blur with a 70% opacity gives a nice bit of movement. The 3rd panel has four layers. Background, sword motion, blood and head movement. I'm thinking of putting a how I did it in the "Behind The Scenes" section of the site.

Strip # 288 Updated On 7/28/09
The first panel blood turned out great. After processing and adding the digital effects, photoshop reset itself and I lost custom style settings. But I did find my brushes.

The first strip with the largest set built to date. My roomates came home a week earlier than I expected, they did tell me. I hadn't finished building the set yet at the time. I was planning on filming on this set the day before they told me they were coming home. Boy was I suprised to see them a day early. Took 5 hours to film all of the strips that use this set.

The hilly terain is from various megablok sets. I picked up a large quantity of megablok for $10 plus shipping. I know, it's a LEGO™ comic, but sometimes you have to go with a few cool things. And the actual number of troops is 47.

Strip # 291 Updated On 7/31/09
Bad ass Solomeade troopers. Say hello to TED. The 3rd panel cracks me up, they have no weapons to drop. Reign, (the guy with purple hair), was supposed to say, "I would, if I had some you twit."

Strip # 292 Updated On 8/1/09
Right as I was going to shoot this comic, I found the hand cuffs I've been wanting to use for a while. They were located in my police mobile command center and the new Space Police 3 sets had a few pairs.

Zuckus and Zuchai. Same people. Different life philosophy. The original Friction Fit Theatre background on the characters have the Zuchai cloning themselves and building mecha. Zuckas approach was to replace body parts with implants. These ideas lead to war and destroyed the Zuckus nation.
