The conquest will be explained in a few weeks. Just keep reading.

The last panel was rewritten several times. Once was to get the words to fit on the panel, another was to clean up the sloppy grammar, then finally I decided to pay a nod to strips No.25 through No.29. Bob has a purpose.

As you can see, everything is starting to come together. More about this will be coming.

This is the current set for the Solomeade base. It just has all of the props moved. Funny thing is behind the door isn't the interogation room, but where the Rimminion Stargate from early strips is currently stored. It's also the boys house and a few other sets modified as needed. Go to the "Behind The Scenes" section and you may get a better view of this.

Solomeade is starting to learn that something is going on without his knowledge. Now I've found that I've been having trouble with lighting when it comes to the stormtroopers whiteness and other reflective surfaces. I'm trying to figure out what I did before to get the correct lighting. I think it was a 25watt compact flourecent light bulb. I'm going to have to experiment. So when these pics were taken they used a couple light sources.

The temples mentioned are some of the biggest sets I will be building or using. It's going to be a large area shoot where these are set up for simple pics up on my crate which makes it easier to turn the sets and not get caught on something or get a funky angle the camera and tripod don't like.

BattleMark Act:2 No.258 to No.283

The spoils of war. The props in this set were easy to find since I re-sorted my prior sorting boxes. I didn't know I had that many books. I'm still searching for other items, but I think I've narrowed them down to the last 12 boxes that need further sorting.

As I film these and read and write the next 40 strips, I'm starting to find that I may no longer need some of the original sets that were built for Battlemark when it was filmed originally in 2008. The only real good thing is I've taken enough pics that if I may need to rebuild them I can. It's so sad to think about. I'll have to do some single panels on it.

The diner has gone through 3 or 4 revisions since the fist time it was used. I had to think about whether or not I wanted to look up the diner from the early Battlemark story which was version 1. By the time I made the story changes and began using it for Genuine Draft's Burgatory diner it was modified 3 times. They are subtle, but made to make the filming easier. Since this is the first new story featuring the Battlemark cast I had to go figure out who became who and where their parts were. Battlemark was originally made in April or May of 2008 before being scrapped for Genuine Draft's original story premise. And it's changed alot since strip No.1.

My Lego comic was originally called Battlemark. It's name was from a short story I wrote many many years ago. After I wrote "Genuine Draft" the novel, which is where the comic gets it's name from today, I wrote a long treatment for "Battlemark" the novel. It contained Jordon, Taychalia, Solomeade and other characters that aren't in the comic. It was supposed to be my Star Wars. It has this great setting and history with conflict and lost love. I adapted it to for this comic. But instead of space, I used it as the world of the comic instead of it taking place on Earth. When I retooled the comic for Genuine Draft, I kept the world part. It's one of those things, I may need to tweek.

The mythical cofession. I toyed with what to call it and what it's purpose was for a long time before I finally wrote it. Like much of the Battlemark storyline, what was originally envisioned, isn't used and it took a long time to get the plot to work out. I think it does and will lead to some interesting things in the future.

Okay, would you want Jordon to protect you? And there's not a Zuchai with a mech in the area.

The back of the diner which was seen a few times before has been modified as needed. It's where Reggie the Dragon lived in the early strips. The set pieces were dismantled after I changed a few things around. Now I have to build them again. ARRRGGGGG impulsive comic ideas.

What? Her name was Sassy right? The answer is yes. And so is Rose. Sassy Rose to be exact. She has a wonderful history of the original character in the novels I've written. The hardest part is trying to put characters from the novels into a comic loosely based on them into parts that weren't originally theirs. In other words, take a name and a character and use them more as an actor playing a part.
